Aileen Castlebury, Pine Branch Daylily Garden

(R. 02, I. 2003) Diploid 23" EMRe sev 7 1/2" Unusual form and spidery daylilies have become a special hybridizing treat for me, and Castle Magical Flight was very special. A dark lavender-mauve blend, this unusual form crispate has a small green throat blending to a large yellow, ending with a cream watermark. It has 3-way branching, with an average bud count of 18. The photograph on the above right is a good example of the blooming habit on a two-year old plant of CASTLE MAGICAL FLIGHT, blooming in our garden. An attractive addition to any garden. $25.
